Contest invites mashed potato fans to showcase creative recipes for a chance to win a weekend stay at the iconic Big Idaho Potato Hotel
To celebrate National Potato Day on August 19, Idahoan® and the Idaho Potato Commission have launched a nationwide social media recipe contest, encouraging potato lovers to put mashed potatoes in the spotlight as the main course rather than just a side dish.
The campaign invites participants to create and share an original meal featuring Idahoan Mashed Potatoes as the centerpiece for a chance to win a weekend stay at the renowned Big Idaho Potato Hotel.
Open to legal U.S. residents aged 18 and over, the contest runs through August 18 at 11:59 p.m. EST, with winners to be announced on National Potato Day, August 19.
Grand Prize
One grand prize winner will receive:
- A weekend stay at the iconic Big Idaho Potato Hotel
- A US$500 Visa gift card to help cover travel expenses
- A US$100 Idaho Potato swag bag

Five additional winners will each receive:
