During the Izydory 2025 Gala, Green Sort, a manufacturer of compact apple sorting machines,
received one of the statuettes. We spoke with the company’s owner, Mr. Tomasz Stefaniuk, about
their future plans.
The Izydora Poll has been running continuously since 2018, reaching more and more Polish
farmers each time. In this poll, farmers can vote for the products that work best in their daily
work.
This year’s Izydora Poll once again generated enormous interest not only among readers of
magazines published by AgroHorti Media, but also among many others who also carry out their
daily work on the farm with passion and great commitment. The gala, during which the results
were announced and the Izydora statuettes were awarded, took place this time in Pabianice.
Farmers rate products and vote
This year, over 50 companies entered the Izydory plebiscite, seeking farmers’ opinions on their
products, the vast majority of which were new products and premieres on the Polish market.
Based on the submitted applications, the Plebiscite Committee selected seven categories, in
which farmers selected their favorites in two stages. This resulted in 21 finalists – three
companies and three products in each category. However, it is an Izydory tradition that the
Awards Gala is attended not only by representatives of the nominated companies, but also by
representatives of companies that won awards in previous editions. Adam Paradowski, President
of the Management Board of AgroHorti Media, addressed all companies working to support
Polish agriculture during the Gala’s opening.
“We are very pleased that by joining us today, you appreciate farmers and the work of our
journalists and editors. At AgroHorti Media, we understand agriculture, we know its challenges,
we are read, evaluated, and commented on, even by politicians, because we always want to be on
the farmer’s side. Remember, the Izydor Awards presented today are not from us; they are
awards from farmers who voted for your products. I am even more pleased that we are here
together to hear the results of this vote,” said the President of the Management Board of
AgroHorti Media.
Izydory 2025 and the award for the Green Sort company
We are pleased to announce that one of the winners of this year’s Izydora plebiscite is a
company from the fruit-growing industry. The Green Sort Vision compact sorter won in the
” Breakthrough Products and Solutions in Agricultural Plant, Fruit, and Vegetable Production”
category. Tomasz Stefaniuk accepted the award.
Why groundbreaking? A decade ago, the decision to choose an apple sorter wasn’t easy. Smaller
producers had to choose between new and expensive designs or very old machines. In both
cases, we’re talking about solutions from Western companies. Moreover, most of the available
solutions were very large machines, far exceeding the needs of small farms. In the case of the
competition winners, we’re talking about a compact machine manufactured in Poland,
competitively priced, and innovative. These are undoubtedly factors that deserve more than one
award.
More news on the way
“We have no intention of stopping or ‘resting on our laurels.’ On the contrary, we are working on
further solutions dedicated to the fruit industry,” says Tomasz Stefaniuk, owner of Green Sort.
New products launched a few months ago and now starting to be available for sale. This
includes a high-capacity linear apple sorter, designed for larger farms or smaller sorting
operations. A blueberry sorter that rotates the fruit will also compete for customers in the berry
industry.
Another issue concerns the machines, which we still have to wait a bit for, as they are still in the
design phase. Our interviewee mentions primarily a robotic water unloader for pears and a top-
seal punnet sealer . These are being designed to work in conjunction with our proprietary
blueberry sorting machines.
“These ideas already have some form, or we’ve done some testing. We’re seeing the results and
correcting the errors. There are still ideas for the future that are still in their infancy. You could
say they’re ‘in their infancy,’ like the industrial vegetable sorting machine,” adds Tomasz.
Finally, he promises with a smile that he’ll try to present one of the projects described at the
TSW trade fair, but we’ll have to wait another three months for them.
