Calbee, Inc. has announced the fourth installment of its Jagabee Green Project, introducing a new limited-edition Anchovy Potato Gratin Flavor inspired by traditional Nordic home cooking and tied to the beloved Moomin series. The release coincides with the 80th anniversary of the original Moomin novels in 2025.
The Green Project is part of Calbee’s wider Jagabee Happee3 Project, which promotes environmental awareness and appreciation for nature. The initiative donates a portion of sales to forest conservation efforts on Borneo Island, reflecting Calbee’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.
The new product’s design was selected through a fan club survey involving approximately 4,000 Moomin enthusiasts, and its packaging features collectible character illustrations. Calbee is also launching a campaign where consumers can win original MOOMIN×Jagabee tote bags and novelty items with eligible purchases.
Calbee has continued to strengthen its environmental efforts through the use of biomass inks, FSC-certified paper, and RSPO-certified palm oil in packaging, as well as the introduction of reduced-CO₂ printing technologies. The Green Project further builds on these sustainable initiatives, showcasing the company’s focus on responsible production and eco-friendly innovation.
